There are 16 Counties in Nevada. It became the 36th state on October 31, 1864. The state motto is "All for our Country".

Currently, Nevada does not offer tax lien certificates, it is a tax deed state.

Summary: Property for which taxes are delinquent, are held by the county treasurer, subject to a two year right of redemption. (Sec. 361.5648, Sec. 361. 570). If the property is not redeemed during that period, then under order by the board of county commissioners, the county treasurer can sell the property, after giving notice of sale, for a total amount not less than the amount of the taxes, costs, penalties and interest legally chargeable against the property as stated in the order. (Sec. 361.595).

Tax Sale List: Use Nevada Tax Sale Lists to search for Nevada tax lien certificates to buy or bid on. Generally most Nevada tax sale lists will identify the property owner, parcel number, legal description and the amount due. In some cases, the tax sale list may include the tax collectors assessed value of the property.
